What if You Live or Work in Heavily Affected Areas?

Families in which one or both parents work in the healthcare industry might be particularly affected. Healthcare workers are often used to making sacrifices and may be willing to temporarily suspend or reduce their time with their children for their physical well-being. However, they should not be denied access to their children merely because they are working to protect the rest of the community.

Another complicating factor for some Colorado families is the fact that one parent may live or work in one of the more heavily affected areas. It’s common for divorced parents to be worried about where their children are staying. Summit County recently confirmed at least eight cases of COVID-19 and even issued an order regarding social distancing.
